Care and maintenance

The concrete body needs very little. Wet the dirty section with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge, let it sit a couple of minutes, then wipe clean. Carbon marks on the ceramic spheres are normal and part of how they age. If it builds up, brush or vacuum it away, or rinse the spheres with water. Let the cast iron griddle cool fully, wash it with warm soapy water, and dry it properly, because cast iron rusts if left wet. Rub a thin film of cooking oil over the surface to keep its seasoning.
