This is the most affordable way into the range, and for a lot of gardens it is also simply the right shape. A circle has no head of the table, so four or five people end up talking across the fire instead of down a line. At 40.2 inches across and only 12.2 inches tall, it sits low enough that the flame stays below eye level when everyone is in lounge chairs.
It is also the lightest table Outer makes at 126 lbs. Still a two-person lift, but the one most likely to fit through a side gate without an argument.
Honest note on fit: if your seating is a long sectional along a wall, buy the rectangular. A round table against a straight sofa leaves dead corners on both sides, and you will see them every day.
Owners of Outer's concrete fire pit range consistently praise how quickly it produces real heat and how simple it is to start and stop. One owner describes lighting it as part of a morning routine on the back patio, warming their feet while the dogs run around the garden.
Build quality and quick, helpful support come up repeatedly. In its hands-on review, Men's Journal singled out the soft ignition for releasing gas gradually rather than lighting with a sudden burst.
The most frequent request is an all-weather cover, which is sold separately.
Outer designs for furniture that lives outside permanently and sells direct, so questions reach product specialists rather than a scripted call center. The fire pit carries a 3 year limited warranty. On something that will sit on your patio for a decade, that warranty and that support are most of what takes the risk out of the purchase.
The table is exactly the same. The Cooking Set adds a 19.9 inch round cast iron griddle, the stand it sits on, and a splatter guard to keep grease off the concrete. Nothing structural changes. If you want the fire pit as a heat source and a low table, this configuration is the honest buy and you are not missing anything. If cooking is part of the plan, order the Cooking Set now rather than later, because Outer only approves its own griddle and stand accessories on this table, so retrofitting is the expensive route.
Round is the better social shape and the better answer for square or compact spaces, and it is both lighter and cheaper at 126 lbs against 165 lbs. Rectangular wins where seating runs in a line, or where you simply have the space to fill and want more surface. Heat output is identical at 55,000 BTU, so this is a question about your layout rather than your climate. Measure your seating first, and leave roughly 18 inches between the table edge and the front of each seat.
Outdoors only, on a flat, stable surface, installed by a qualified service professional. Keep at least 4 feet between the table and any building structure, plants, or combustible material, and leave 6 feet of clear air above with no overhang or branches. A concrete or slate patio is ideal, a wooden deck is acceptable, and dirt or grass are not. The unit pulls air in through vents along its bottom edge, so leave the sides clear. Check your local fire code and HOA rules before ordering, since deck restrictions vary by area.

The concrete body asks very little. Wet the dirty section with warm soapy water using a soft sponge, leave the solution a couple of minutes, then wipe it clean. Minor carbon marks on the ceramic spheres are a natural result of combustion and part of how the set weathers. If deposits build up, brush or vacuum them away, or rinse the spheres with water. Keep the burner cover somewhere dry when it is off the table.
